He talked about the ocean between people. And how the whole point of everything is to find a shore worth swimming to.

AMAZING.

I didn't know why I put this down and waited this long to pick up and read it again because it's totally awesome.

The first few pages were slow for me, but eventually it picked up a speed and everything just went to kaboom in a good way. God. I finished it in 2 days whilst I usually take more than 5 days to finish a single book. I love this.

The storyline and aspects on this book don't necessarily remind me of Kasie West's works (especially now that her works are degrading, sigh) but they're equally cute and just filled up with normal teenagers. This probably the book which consists of NORMAL teenagers. I don't know why other authors picture us as some kind of endlessly emo human being. I don't know why they picture popular kids at school as bad guys. I befriended with many popular kids and some of them talk way too nice than average people, so be like Becky Albertalli, my recent heroine.

Can we talk about Simon and Blue's relationship? It's the best thing ever! They both are so cute and they literally me when I met someone cute on the internet. They always have something to talk about and Simon blushes frequently AAAARHGHHHGHH it's killing me.

I kept guessing who Blue is, but I reached a point where I couldn't care less because the friendship itself between Simon, Nick, and Abby is LIFE. It gave me life and happiness. UGH. They're so supportive and embrace everyone on their inner circle.

I love Leah. She's a bit sarcastic and how I sometimes picture myself. She's full of anger but she controls it, until eventually she couldn't and she snapped out of it. I'm just so in love how diverse this is. From the race, gender orientation, and the characteristics for each characters. It's simple to make the difference out of everyone here.

THE GIF ABOVE IS A MANIFESTATION OF MYSELF WHEN I READ THIS BOOK.

I also love the sibling relationship and all family thing Simon has with his fam. IT'S HEARTWARMING AND MY FAVORITE TROPE EVER EXISTED IN A BOOK AY PAPIIIII. I love how he came out and told his fam that he's gay and just tried not to make a big deal out of it. OMG he's such a cutie I want to protect him at all cost.

Conclusion:

Not disappointing at all.
